In Grades 9 and 10, students take seven or eight IGCSE subjects alongside the MEB programme. Exams are sat in the May–June series of Grade 10; results are released in August.
IGCSE is for students who want to complete the first two years of high school with an international benchmark. Each student chooses seven or eight subjects with their tutor, with an eye on the path for Grade 11: students considering the IB Diploma are usually advised to take two sciences and Global Perspectives.
The exam series
Cambridge exams are held at our school in the May–June series of Grade 10. Exam entry fees are set by Cambridge and invoiced separately from tuition.
Alongside the MEB programme
Turkish students continue the Anatolian high school programme in the same years. The weekly timetable combines the common content of both programmes; physics, for example, is taught as one course covering the outcomes of both.
